Top Descriptions

This is a small but well organised museum with atmospheric lighting and wonderful air conditioning. There are some very well preserved mummies to view, along with decorated coffins. There are numerous striking statues, carved from various stone, and in excellent condition. – Sarah

Top Tips

People have reported erratic opening hours, perhaps ask your hotel or a local if you are unsure.
Though the café and shop were no longer open at the time of writing, there are toilets should you need them.
If you do not want to pay the camera fee, you may get away with a few sneaky shots providing you don’t use a flash. Then again, there are guards in corners to ensure you follow the rules.
