Coming by train, it’s only about a 40-minute walk from Simon’s Town Station to the Boulders Visitors Centre. Follow the main road for most of the way until you reach a signed turnoff down Seaforth Road. From there, you can’t go wrong!

Top Tips
This is a popular spot (especially with groups of school children), so consider coming as early as possible if you’d like to find spacious viewing platforms.
Unlike Boulders Beach (included in the same ticket), you can expect to find large groups of African Penguins here. Also unlike Boulders Beach, you won’t be able to access the beach here as you are restricted to two viewing platforms.
If you get peckish, Cafe Penguino is not far away at all.
Watch out for the hyraxes (rock rabbits) that live in the bushes nearby. The penguins also tend to nest in the bushes too, so keep an eye out for their eggs!
