More of a park than a gardens, this is a good spot for a stroll – especially in the evenings when the gardens fill out with temporary food stands and “chefs” in their chef hats.
If you’re in the area, do take the opportunity to visit the Old Fort and Beit el-Ajaib.
The Floating Restaurant (which doesn’t float at all) in the middle of the park is one of the better spots in Stone Town for an evening beer.
