| Opened in 2008, Ningbo Museum is a creative and well maintained free-entry museum. With interesting and thoughtful exhibits set across three floors, fascinating architecture (combining the remains of Jiagnan residences), and quick access to Yinzhou Park, it is no wonder that this museum gets busy at the weekends. Although it’s mostly local history and traditional customs, you may be pleasantly surprised with the quality on offer here. |

| This museum is a bit of a maze, so you might want to come back here if you end up missing something. As there are decent enough temporary exhibitions on offer, you might want to return anyway. And there’s a helpful enough leaflet/map at the entrance. |
| Stop off in the cafe for a break. The ice cream sold here is particularly good, and you get two generous scoops for CNY15. You might want to know the flavours in Mandarin of course to guarantee you get what you ask for. |
