As Chinese buffets go, Yimaijia Gainian Jiancan offers a pretty good standard in a modern two-floor restaurant. Prices aren’t much higher than your run-of-the-mill buffet, yet chefs here don aprons and toque blanche hats and the staff are a little more professional than normal. There’s not the widest array on offer, but it makes for a good option in the Sunday Plaza restaurant strip. – Daniel

Top Tips
Don’t expect to find any decent beers on offer here. You’ll only find weak Chinese beers such as Snow or Harbin. Perhaps bring your own? I’m sure no one would say anything.
This is a good restaurant to come to if you don’t speak much (or any) Mandarin as you just queue up with a tray and pay for what you point at or collect. This is the way with all such buffets in town, and it makes things a lot easier at first.
Be careful if you’re vegetarian. Most of the veggie plates even come with flecks of meat, or are cooked in a meat broth or oil.
