Top Tips

If you’re staying at either of the two camps and you’re after the internet, then this should be the place to come. This signal is strong and we’re hopeful you’ll have better luck, but in our three visits we only had luck once.
Should you have managed to catch a cold on your travels, you can order a hot ‘concoction’ of ginger, honey, lemon and garlic that really hits the spot.
It looks as though they might do some fantastic buffet spreads here (at who knows what cost!).

This isn’t really a restaurant, but it’s all that services the .
If you’re wanting breakfast, order it from Pruscilla the night before. Don’t expect much to happen before 8am.
Don’t buy water here! The KES60 charged for a half litre is unacceptable, especially when you consider that just outside the gate you can get 1.5-litre bottles for KES80 and a ten-minute walk will get you a 5-litre bottle for KES100 ;).

Top Tips

On average, the prices here are higher than at next door . What’s on offer here, however, is more in tune with your modern eco-conscious crowd and is carefully prepared.
The vegetable quesadillas with guacamole dip and the hummus with vegetable sticks make for a great lunch snack.
If you’re after a good fruit hit in a drink then try the juices rather than the smoothies – the latter tend to be mostly milk.

Top Tips

This is the cheaper brother (or cousin) to the below it. While you can use the facilities of the latter, the Top Camp feels very much separate (and more poorly facilitated) than the lake-side and shady camp below. NOTE that you will also have to hike for ten or so minutes up or down between the two camps.
If you want to order breakfast from the , you’d be better off putting your order in the night before. It might even just be quicker to head down to the as service will be more consistent there – plus there’ll be more on offer.
It is possible to rent bikes at the below should you wish to head around the lake or to Hells Gate National Park.
