Top Descriptions

This game drive may well be one of the most satisfying in Kenya (and indeed the world). There are a wide variety of animals to be encountered when spending a full day in the reserve, and ample opportunities to get up close to some of the big 5. Though luck plays a significant role, knowing that the animals are not tracked adds an element of authenticity and heightened adrenaline. – Sarah

Top Tips

This is an absolutely fantastic game drive. It’s a long and tiring day though, so do bring plenty of snacks, water and sun cream.
Be careful when going to the toilet in the wild. Ladies might want to take a friend to check behind the bushes with them before going – and to stand on lookout.
Should any of your drivers decide to annoy a cheetah out of a bush or aggravate a lion into standing up, don’t be shy to speak out against this type of harassing behaviour.

Top Descriptions

This is an excellent opportunity to witness what’s left of rural life in East Africa. Aside from having access to vehicles, lighters and a few packaged food products, the people here live as they have done for hundreds of years. Whether it’s drinking blood, hunting lions, making jewellery or raising cattle, the local people are happy to answer your questions – especially if you’re willing to purchase a souvenir.

Top Tips

You would be hard pressed to find a more authentic Maasai experience than at Nkoiyireoro village opposite . Although don’t expect for these tribal people to be without lighters or litter.
Expect to watch and get involved with a traditional dance, to explore the village, to learn how to make fire and to see inside a Maasia house. Also expect a few awkward moments towards the end of the tour as the Maasai try to sell you locally made curios.
The Maasai here are quite open to questions, so perhaps try to think of a few before you visit.
Although this tour is run by the villagers themselves, it can be arranged at or through .
