Top Tips

This is a smallish but fairly eclectic museum, predominantly about the forced relocation of South End residents during apartheid.
While the downstairs is more consistently themed, the upstairs is more of a hodgepodge with seasonal exhibits.
Keep an eye (and ear) out for the genuine jukebox upstairs ;).

Top Tips

The entrance fee should be paid in the , though if the gate to the lighthouse is open you can probably climb it without paying (should you be that way inclined).
Expect to have to climb at least 6 short flights of stairs, some of the quite tight. The last hole you have to climb through in particular is very small.
Do be careful climbing down and hold onto the hand rails. If you have problems with your knees or back, this might not be for you.

Top Tips

This is quite a large and urban beach that seems to be frequented by groups of local families.
Nearby you’ll find some shops, cafes, restaurants, and an amusement park!
Nudity may be acceptable here. At least, we saw a few locals brazenly undressing in the car park.

Top Tips

This isn’t a large museum, but it does house a few interesting pieces of contemporary art and is worth 30 minutes or so if you’re in the Richmond Hill or St George’s Park area.
There are two buildings here, with the King George VI Art Gallery the more dynamic and interesting of the two.
Only one of the buildings has toilet facilities (King George VI Art Gallery).
