Consider taking a very reasonably priced guided hike here with Lake Kifuruka Eco Camp. It would be hard to find the falls otherwise.
Do be warned that the hike down and back up to the waterfall is quite steep, and that the tree roots that you must climb over to get close to the waterfall are quite slippery.
It is possible to swim here below the falls and everyone claims that it’s free of bilharzia. Being this fast flowing, it most likely is quite safe – except for the slippery rocks!
