Top Tips

It’s a sorry state when these beautiful creatures (rescued as they may be) have to remain in captivity.
It’s easy enough to get close up photos of the Moon Bears here.
There’s some big fake huggable bears that make for good photo opportunities too. Go on, give one a hug ;).

Top Descriptions

To get to the viewpoint at the top of the , you’ll need to scramble for about 20 minutes up a steep, rooty and muddy slope. You can begin or end the short hike either to the left or to the right of the man falls. Don’t go up here just for the view, but it’s worth it if you like to hike and explore.

Top Tips

Don’t expect great views from the top. This viewpoint is more about the journey rather than the view.
It’s possible to bathe at the viewpoint also, but as its shadier you can expect less warming sunshine and more mosquitoes.
Be careful on your way to the viewpoint. It’s a good 20 minute hike up (and then back down), and it’s fairly steep and sometimes slippery.

Top Tips

This wat has some interesting (and rather worn out) murals inside, and apparently there’s also a cave somewhere nearby included in the LAK10,000 entrance.
Wear long clothing out of respect, and remember to take your shoes off before heading inside any of the buildings.
Consider visiting while you’re on this side of the river.

This wat is somewhat derelict, but the views of from the top of the hill are probably worth the LAK10,000 entrance.
Wear long clothing out of respect, and remember to take your shoes off before heading inside any of the buildings.
Consider visiting while you’re on this side of the river.
