Top Descriptions

This is fairly large and impressive cave with a reclining Buddha as its centrepiece. With only a stiff 10-minute climb from the , you’d be mad not to visit the both together. With a torch you can explore the second cavern which is just as large as the first, but that little bit creepier and more adventurous.

Top Tips

Solid sandals should be enough to explore this cave. The floor isn’t too slippery or wet, although it is quite uneven in places thanks to the water erosion.
It is possible to rent a flashlight here if you’ve forgotten yours. You can go about 50-100m inside Poukham Cave without one, though – although it would make things a lot easier if you did!
Make sure you pack your swimwear so that you can visit the at the same time. They’re both included in the same LAK10,000 ticket.
If you time your visit right, you could have a peaceful experience here. Otherwise, watch out for the large groups of Korean tourists that just love .

Once you’ve paid the LAK10,000 and taken then short but strenuous hike up to you’ll want to take the path on the left shortly after you leave the cave. This path leads to and takes about 20 or so minutes to walk. You’ll have to turn left at one point but is well signposted. After you’ve finished with the cave, you can continue to explore the area or return back to the way you came.

Top Tips

Come here for a great view of and the surrounding limestone karts.
You can’t miss this hilltop viewpoint – Pha Poak is a small hill with a yellow flag on top. You’ll have to hike up the hill for about 15 sweaty minutes across some pretty rocky terrain, so consider wearing shoes.
Watch out for ants nests on the way up, and don’t plan to spend much time at the viewpoint (the jagged limestone isn’t particularly comfortable!).

Top Descriptions

This cave is very much a do-it-yourself activity. Someone will no doubt appear to open the entrance, but once inside you’re very much on your own unless you pay for the guide. There are no lights inside, though some parts of cave are well lit and large. How deep you go really depends on your fortitude.

Top Tips

Solid sandals should be enough to explore this cave. The floor isn’t too slippery or wet, although it is quite uneven in places thanks to the water erosion.
It is possible to rent a flashlight here if you’ve forgotten yours. You can fairly easily go 50-100m inside Lusi Cave without one, though – just watch out for the many cobwebs near the entrance!
Consider coming here on the , and then you can also visit nearby.
