Top Descriptions

If you come here expecting something to rival Angkor Wat, you will no doubt be disappointed. But if you visit My Son with a keen interest in nature, archaeology and anthropology, you will likely enjoy the site. The scenery is pleasant and the drive out here a worthwhile (if potentially dangerous) excursion. Do keep in mind though that this site isn’t huge, the ruins aren’t in amazing condition, and some obvious restoration work has been done. – Daniel

Top Tips

If you decide to go inside some of the open temples, do keep an eye out for the huntsman spiders that like to lurk there ;).
To save yourself 4kms of walking, catch the electric shuttle bus from the ticket office to the main site.
Aim to arrive here for sunrise or after 2pm if you want to avoid sharing the site with large tour groups.

Top Descriptions

You’ll find a large stretch of uninterrupted coastline only a few kilometres outside of , from Cau Dai Beach (the closest to the town) to An Bang Beach (the farthest) – with many named and unnamed sections in between. An Bang Beach is probably one of the prettiest and most amenable, but it’s also one of the busiest. You might find this is exactly the scene you’ve been looking for, but then again you might just be looking for one of those quieter no-name beaches in between. – Daniel
