Top Tips
If it’s a sunny day, consider starting at the Riverside North Bridge and heading east along the river. It’s a pleasant 45-minute walk until you get to the cinema complex, and you can always stop along the way for an ice cream!
There is plenty of picnic space along the river, so pack up some food and head out. And if it rains – as it often does – just look for one of the handy bandstands that are dotted about.
As picturesque as the river may be, it’s not recommended to swim in it. Bodies do get found on occasion, while trolleys also get dumped here with a little more regularity. You should probably not also walk along the river at night, especially alone.
