The Brecon Beacons National Park is a large, green and undulating reservation area in southern Wales. Popular for hiking and for generally enjoying the pleasant scenery, this park makes for an excellent day trip from Cardiff or Swansea or for longer stays if you base yourself in Brecon Town. Don’t expect world-class viewpoints, but what’s on offer here is pretty impressive for the United Kingdom. – Daniel
