What are the numbers and averages?
Originally opened in 1898, this Victorian-era pier is as much a historical site as it is a delightful spot on a sunny day. It offers great views across Swansea Bay to the left and there is a 200 year old lighthouse to the right. – Sarah

If you are after a seafront coffee and cake, the Beach Hut Cafe just before you enter the pier proper may be the spot. Be prepared for a queue on a sunny day though!
The Mumbles Lifeboat Station at the bottom of the pier is free to enter and has set times of the day for you to observe a live lifeboat launch.
Half of the pier is currently under restoration, but this doesn’t distract too much from the beautiful surrounding scenery.
There are arcade games, a bowling alley, and seaside souvenir shops attached to the pier if you’re looking for some entertainment.
