Barichara is famed for being one of the prettiest colonial villages in all of Colombia, and it isn’t hard to see why. It’s a sleepy but well preserved little place with excellent panoramas of the surrounding countryside. There’s not much going on, but it’s worth visiting for the peaceful picturesqueness is nothing else. – Daniel

Consider walking to the village of Guane along the Camino Real. It’s a fairly short and pretty walk, and it’s all downhill from Barichara!
