Top Tips

Get to the beach early during the busy season to ensure a good spot. It’s a small beach that fills up fast! The further down East Ashley Ave. you head, the quieter it gets.
For most supplies (groceries, booze, meds etc) you will need to head to James Island, which is about a 15 minute drive north of Folly Island.
You can rent an umbrella (USD12) or two chairs + umbrella (USD30) for the day from the guys next to the bar on the beach. They will drill the umbrella into the sand for you and adjust it as the sun moves.

Heralded by many as the new “It” city in the US, Nashville has a little bit of everything to offer. Venture outside of the Broadway bachelorette party crowds to get a taste of the less touristy side of Music City. Downtown does offer great live music, but head over to East Nashville for more trendy shops and dining. West Nashville even offers a higher-end dining and shopping experience. Nature is always waiting to be explored in Tennessee. Radnor Lake, Harpeth River, Percy Warner Park, and Shelby Bottoms Park are just a few of the beautiful escapes within and around the city.

Top Tips

Public transportation is a sad state of affairs in Nashville. Renting a vehicle or using a ride share service is a necessity. There are new bicycle lanes popping up around the city, but be very wary while cycling as drivers are still not used to sharing the road. Don’t get caught at a busy intersection with no pedestrian crosswalk!
Hotel prices have become quite outrageous in the city. would probably be the most budget friendly option.
Say “howdy” to folks. Everyone in the south loves to chat.
