Top Tips

Bring swimwear along as this is a very calm (and beautiful) spot to take a cold and refreshing swim! It’s also popular, so consider coming early.
Don’t expect to see too many penguins on this beach, not when compared with which is included in the same ticket next door. You can however expect to find lots of families and children enjoying the waters.
If you get peckish, is not far away at all.
Watch out for the hyraxes (rock rabbits) that live in the bushes nearby.

Top Tips

This is a daily feeding organised by Wayne at in his very own .
The bushbabies come to feed every evening just after sunset, so depending on the time of year that can be between 6.40 and 7.30. The bushbabies are pretty punctual, so make sure you are too!
Be careful not to use your flash (at least no closer than 2 metres away). These are nocturnal creatures with sensitive eyes!

Top Descriptions

This is a dismal little display of snakes. It made one feel quite sorry for the enclosed animals. Where the snakes have been obtained from and why they are here is unknown, and it is therefore difficult to recommend this ‘snake park’ to anyone. – Sarah

Top Tips

To get to this snake park, a boda-boda from shouldn’t cost you any more than KES100 for two passengers.
Unlike the snake park at , the Mnarani Snake Park entrance ticket generously also includes the at the top of the 104-step entrance. You can decide for yourself as to why they’ve decided to include the two here.
Don’t expect too much from this sad snake park. Expect to be shown small cages with snakes coiled up inside bowls of water (due to the heat) by an overly enthusiastic and seemingly mandatory guide.

Top Descriptions

For East Africa, this is a very good value and very well organised tour. You’ll certainly have ample opportunity to see the big five in the wild, and if you’re lucky you might even see a kill or two. Just be prepared to have to do a good bit of travelling between the national parks and reserves. – Daniel

Top Tips

Accommodation along the tour is in , and . All campsites are more than adequate for how wild these areas are, but don’t come expecting luxury.
Although long journeys are kindly broken up with lunch and toilet stops, be forewarned that the toilets themselves are almost always conveniently placed inside large souvenir shops.
As Dennis Solomon at run tours like this every day, it’s very possible that you might have sections of this trip to yourself. All the same, you could find every seat on your minivan is full – especially in the . Hope for a not-too-busy-but-friendly minivan full.
