Top Tips

Get to the beach early during the busy season to ensure a good spot. It’s a small beach that fills up fast! The further down East Ashley Ave. you head, the quieter it gets.
For most supplies (groceries, booze, meds etc) you will need to head to James Island, which is about a 15 minute drive north of Folly Island.
You can rent an umbrella (USD12) or two chairs + umbrella (USD30) for the day from the guys next to the bar on the beach. They will drill the umbrella into the sand for you and adjust it as the sun moves.
