Seeing as this is one of the major bus stations servicing the Diani Beach area, you’d think there’d be more than a desk for the ticket man and a wooden crate for the guests. But nope, that’s all there is. If you want the toilet, there’s one in the petrol station over the road.

NOTE: Our Diani Beach to Tanga bus with Simba Coach did not go as planned. We were told to be at this station for 6.30am, but it turns out that the bus to Tanga comes from Mombasa and due to the Likoni Ferry it doesn’t arrive usually until between 8am and 9am. At 8.15am we were thrown onto another bus (Tahmeed) without any explanation – nor any reserved seats.
If you’re looking to run between Mombasa and Dar es Salaam, then Simba Coach comes fairly recommended.
Don’t expect much at this bus station. It is indeed where you’ll pick up the bus, and you can make reservations here, but don’t expect a toilet or waiting room or anything similar. If you do need the loo, the gas station over the road has some free facilities.
